IRIS Unimore is an institutional repository in compliance with open access communication standards. If you have published “diamond/gold/hybrid” open access, you can easily upload the Version of Record of your article to IRIS. Otherwise, choose the green route (green open access).
Editorial policy on self-archiving
Check the self-archiving policy (green open access) on the publisher’s website.
Most international publishers allow GREEN OPEN ACCESS for the ACCEPTED MANUSCRIPT.
an embargo period can be applied (from 6 to 36 months).
please note: the embargo period applied by the publisher is not always compliant with the research funder’s one

Retrieve the accepted manuscript version of your article.
what if you cannot find it?
» ENTer your submission account and find the file.
» search for the file in your emails, in your computer, in the CLOUD.
» ask for the file to the CORRESPONDING author
» request the journal to email you the file.
Uploading open access to IRIS
Create the item in IRIS and upload the accepted manuscript version.
when uploading the FILE:
» in the section “type”, choose “author’s POST-PRINT (draft POST referee)”.
» in the section “file dissemination”, choose “available IN OPEN ACCESS”. in case of an embargo period, choose “available after the EMBARGO” and select the period of appliance.
from that moment the FILE will be automatically available in OPEN ACCESS.
