The University Library System of UNIMORE coordinates the CODAU group on publication costs.

The accurate assessment of costs related to scientific literature incurred by universities, both in terms of reading (subscriptions and acquisitions) and writing (publication fees), is as fundamental as it is currently poorly structured.

Raffaella Ingrosso, head of UNIMORE’s University Library System, and Andrea Solieri, coordinator of the Open Access and Research Data group, lead the CODAU group on publication cost assessment, which collaborates with the counterpart group of CRUI (Conference of Italian University Rectors).

The objective is to achieve standardization of registration and assessment methods for costs at the national level.
